Me driving the tractor, carrying the beams, Richard said they need manly strength to lift the beams so I go to do the easy work.

Carrying the posts inside, then the beams

we got one beam up and Harvey stopped by to see how it looked, it was his first time out to see all the wood we've bought from him, he really liked it. It gave us the break we needed to go pick up lunch
The posts are true 6x6 and the beams are 6x8 20 feet long

This jack thingy my dad brought home for us to use, really made the work easy, we would jack the beam up then down again and again to get it all right, we had to measure the posts, cut them and double check, we would not have been able to lift this beam by ourselves

we drilled into the concrete and into the center of the post and put rebar to anchor them to the floor. Then we drilled from the top down and put a piece of rebar in there as well for added support, right now the 2x6 are supporting them, but we will get plates to pin them all together and for added character.

If you look in the picture above the top board over the windows had to be loosened and leveled out. I told him when it went up it was not level. ha ha
after the days work is over, the boys have to play around, so adam sat on a board and kyle lifted him up to the rafters
